January Shared Offering: Eastern Illinois Foodbank

The Eastern Illinois Foodbank, which benefits from our January shared offering, likes to say it "puts the soup in soup kitchens, and the food in food pantries." Every day, there are more than 130,000 men, women and children across eastern Illinois who may not have enough to eat. Luckily, there are also hundreds of agencies-from small church food pantries to large homeless shelters-working diligently to help struggling families make ends meet. The Eastern Illinois Foodbank provides a reliable source of food for these agencies.

Urgent Help Needed in Haiti

Quick Link: UUSC's Haiti Relief Donation Form

Our Unitarian Universalist values teach us that all people affected by humanitarian crises have an equal right to aid and assistance with dignity. Our partner, the Unitarian Univeralist Service Committee (UUSC), is guided by that belief.

In response to the many requests we have received from concerned Unitarian Universalists like you, the Unitarian Universalist Assocation (UUA) and the UUSC have teamed up to give you the opportunity to make a secure online donation to support the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee's relief efforts in Haiti. Donate now to help alleviate suffering in Haiti.

The UUSC will work closely with partners in this grassroots movement to reach those survivors at greatest risk of being overlooked. [Read more about the UUSC's immediate response in Haiti.]
